PROCEDURE FOR BOOKING A COURSE

  1. Candidate completes the Application Form.

  2. The Candidate is interviewed by the Course Director and completes the Pre-Course task in person.

  3. Successful candidate receives an invoice and on receipt of *deposit of €350 is sent a course Acceptance Letter. Once accepted the deposit is no longer refundable. Candidates who need to can change their course start date to another available date in the same calendar year up to one week before the course they are booked on starts. Details of our Bank Account into which the deposit payment can be made are below.

  4. The remainder of the course fee of €1000 is paid at least two weeks before the course starts into the same account.

  5. In the case where a school is providing a full or partial scholarship for a candidate, the candidates themselves pay the initial deposit and The Linguaviva Centre can arrange to invoice the school concerned for the remainder of the course fees. Course fees must be paid in full at least two weeks before course commencement day.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

  1. Course materials will be provided digitally through Google Classrooms.

  2. The course will take place in The Linguaviva Centre. The trainees will have their own classroom with a private kitchen where coats/bags etc. can be stored. We do not take responsibility for loss or theft of belongings.

  3. Students are expected to have disclosed at interview any medical or other reasons why they may have difficulty successfully passing the Trinity Cert TESOL.

  4. Candidates whose first language is not English will show appropriate qualifications in English in order to meet the criteria to take the course.

  5. There is no refund of fees for days missed during the course/late arrival/early departure/public holidays.

  6. It is Trinity College London who moderates and issues certificates upon course completion and The Linguaviva Centre in this case is the course provider. If a candidate does not meet the requirements to pass e.g. attendance is not high enough, coursework is incomplete, this is the candidate’s responsibility.

  7. There is no refund if a candidate fails to complete the Course.

  8. If the intended commencement date of a Course is postponed The Linguaviva Centre will inform candidates two weeks beforehand and either offer an alternative date or a refund if preferred.

  9. The Linguaviva Centre will not be responsible for any failure to comply with any of its obligations (and therefore shall not be required to provide any compensation) if the failure is occasioned by any cause beyond The Linguaviva Centre’s reasonable control.

  10. Trainees must have access to a laptop, or tablet for coursework and to access course materials.

  11. Any arrangements for payment or scholarship payments between a 3rd party and a student are a matter for these parties and The Linguaviva Centre is not in any way responsible or involved. The Linguaviva Centre advises all students to check the details of such arrangements prior to entering into an agreement for payment or part-payment of their course.

MISSING LESSONS

  1. Candidates are expected to attend ALL input sessions, observations, and teaching practice. We do not accept any liability for any lessons missed and no refunds or extra materials will be given when lessons are missed for any reason (without prior arrangement).

  2. Candidates may not allow anyone else to access the training materials via their log-in details.

  3. When public holidays occur on a Monday, students will begin their course on a Tuesday. Extra classes will be arranged (usually on Saturday) to make up for lessons missed on public holidays.
